Handmade ceramic box, formed on a potters wheel. The clay used in this piece was foraged from the Sierra Foothills of CA, as was the quartz knob on the lid. The glaze materials are local as well; rocks, minerals, clays, and wood ashes being collected throughout the area and processed into a glaze slurry. Once applied, the piece is fired in a kiln to roughly 2400 degrees f.
This box would work well for jewlery but also for holding salt in the kitchen, or any other small items. Measures approximately 3.5"x3.5"
